SIMPLEGOV is the primary software engine powering Prometheus projects. Formerly named DIY Democracy, SIMPLEGOV is a proprietary software suite enabling direct citizen interaction with government agencies. By pioneering a new standard of government accountability and citizen engagement, SIMPLEGOV makes it fun and easy for citizens to create the change they wish to see.
Currently, the SIMPLEGOV system is in the process of being ported in the following devices:
- Custom website integration
- Web browser tools
- Mobie apps
- Embeddable web content
Deployed as a component within the new SIMPLEGOV platform, the Agency Reputation Measurement Project is an effort to isolate proven quantitative methods for tracking, evaluating and publishing metrics which enable meaningful objective comparison of government agency performance along multiple dimensions.
With both physical architecture in the form of software offerings, and intellectual architecture in the form of whitepapers and research, ARM is dedicated to developing and advancing methodology for measuring and comparing the actual impact of public policies on the citizenry.
As the United States moves toward the decriminalization of intoxicants, especially marijuana, the Prometheus Institute contributes technology and resources to the enactment of reforms which regulate adult-use intoxicants in a manner which is scientifically and economically justified.
The legalization regime offers a historic opportunity for public policy innovation, given the notable tabula rasa nature of the legal and regulatory environment. As new rights, obligations, licenses, agencies, and other legal aspects are created from scratch in jurisdictions around the nation and world, we will contribute valuable information and insights to this process, ensuring America can most efficiently modernize its rules.
